FUN RUN & SPONSORSHIP DRIVE
We were very proud of all our students who participated in our Allandale School Fun Run on Tuesday. Students ran, climbed hills, crawled through tunnels, slid down slides, tracked through sprinklers, hopped through obstacles and conquered the slippery slide. It was definitely a fun, exciting and adrenaline-filled day
Our Allandale students and staff looked amazing dressed up in their house colours and it was so special to see whanau dressing in house colours too. Thank you all so much!
This year's Fun Run was also held as a fundraising event. Many of our students and whanau sought sponsorship for their participation in the Fun Run and we are so humbled and proud of everyone's fundraising efforts. A total of $17,613.60 was raised to support Education Outside the Classroom. Wow! Sincere thanks to everyone who supported, sponsored and helped with this fundraiser.
Ngā mihi to all the local businesses who have generously supported our Allandale Fun Run Sponsorship Fundraiser. We had over 50 prizes up for grabs, including family passes to the Aquatic Centre, Pop Its, Movie Passes and Stationery.
Keeping Tamariki Safe
There are new markings on the pavement of Alexander Avenue to encourage tamariki to stop and look up long driveways and also to encourage people in cars to stop and look at the end of their driveway.
On another note, it is a school rule that if your child is bringing a bike or scooter to school that they have a helmet. If they do not, they will not be allowed to take their scooter or bike home. We will look after them here at school and it can be collected when they have their helmet. This may seem harsh but the safety of our tamariki is the most important thing and we appreciate your support in this.
